Technical college in Alpuri soon

SHANGLA: MPA Mohammad Rashad Khan has said that a technical college in Alpuri would be functional soon and asked the local youth to get skill training so they could support their families.

The MPA also demanded of the provincial government to give attention to the development of Shangla district like Nowshera, Swabi, Dir and Mardan.

He was speaking as chief guest on Thursday at the certificate awarding ceremony in Bisham where 50 youth completed a six-month skill training course of motorcycle repairing and plumbing.

The course was organised by Nida-Pakistan, an NGO, in collaboration with Technology Upgradation and Skills Development Company under its technical skills project.

Sadiq Khan, project manager at Nida-Pakistan, said that over 300 local people had been trained by them in Shangla district since 2014.

He said that the youth who were given training belonged to different parts of the district.

SECTION 144: Deputy commissioner, Shangla, Abdul Kabir Khan on Thursday imposed Section 144 to ban open sale of petroleum products in the district.

According a notification, the ban was imposed to avoid threats to human lives. He asked of ficials of the police stations to check the open sale of petroleum products in their respective areas.
