RIGHT TO INFORMATION: The Sindh Information Commission, established underthe Sindh Transparency and Right to Information Act, 2016, plays a vital role in promoting transparency and accountability in public institutions. I filed a complaint against the University of Karachi for not disclosing the LLM entry test marks of selected candidates.

Following three hearings, the Commission ruled in my favour, and directed the university to release the requested information within 10 days. The entire process was hassle-free. After each hearing,Ireceived a couriered copy of the order-sheet at no cost. I encourage all citizens to utilise this important facility, and assert their right to information.

Abdul Qadeer Chachar Karachi ELECTRICITY THEFT: Since July 2024, the residents of CanalView Housing Societyin Sheikhupura are experiencing increasedloadshedding.Localtransformers often go out of order due to unusual load. Despite the winter season, the problem is persisting, and has even worsened. Many people are resorting to electricity theft through illegal wiring and using rigged meters. This turbulence results in frequent loadshedding and increased electricity bills. People have lodged several complaints against such irregularities, but no action has been taken thus far. The higher authorities should pay attention to the issue.

Muhammad Faizan Sheikhupura CHAOS IN KANDHKOT: Years of unchecked violence, largely driven by notorious criminals from the riverine belt of the Indus River, have created an environment of chaos and despair in Kandhkot. Robberies, kidnappings and bloodshed have become common, disrupting every facet of daily life. Despite the gravity of the situation, the authorities appear indifferent to the plight of the people. If this negligence continues, the cycle of violence will persist, exacting an even heavier toll on the community. Civil society, the media, and relevant stakeholders should demand accountability.
