SARGODHA: A Muhafiz Police constable was injured by two motorcycle riders in the Islampura area of the city.

According to sources, the squad was on routine patrol in Sargodha city when suspicious motorcycle riders opened fire on it in the Islampura area,injured Constable Shahzeb and fled.

Rescue 1122 gave medical aid to Shahzeb and shifted him to the district headquarters hospital.

Regional Police Officer Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan and District Police Officer Dr Asad Ijaz Malhi sought a report of the incident and inquired after the police official in the hospital.
