TAXILA: Various bar associations in Attock district and its tehsils elected their new office-bearers during the annual bar elections held at the beginning of the new calendar year.

In Taxila, after a necl(and-neck contest, Syed Tajammal Shah was elected president, Gulnar Malik vice president, Syed Waqas Ali Shah general secretary and Malik Awais Ali was elected joint secretary.

In Hassanabdal, Malik Shahbaz was elected president while Malik Basheer Ahmed was elected general secretary. Junaid Iqbal was elected vice president unopposed.

Pindigheb Bar Association elected Mudassar Ahmed as president, Kashif Ali Malik as vice president and Syed Kamran Shah as general secretary.

Mujtaba Shahban was already elected unopposed finance secretary while Rehat Abbas was elected library secretary.

The Jand Bar Association elected Nighat Shamim as president, Sheikh Ansar Aziz vice president and Uzma Batool Kazmi, general secretary.

In Fatehjang, Sardar Irfan Khan was elected president, Malil( Shahzad was elected general secretary and Babar Shahzad was elected the finance secretary.
