MUZAFFARGARH: A 29-kanal graveyard land piece worth over Rs20 million was retrieved from the land mafia on Saturday on the orders of Kot Addu Deputy Commissioner Syed Munawar Abbas Bukhari.

The operation was led by Tehsildar Muhammad Irshad in Mauza Sheikh Umar.

The deputy commissioner instructed the registration of cases against theoccupants, identified as Ahmad Bakhsh, Muhammad Nawaz, Ghulam Abbas and Muhammad Pahlwan, who had allegedly occupied the landforthelast30years.

The operation involved the revenue department, municipal committee machinery and the police.

The deputy commissioner reiterated his commitment to continuing actions against land grabbers. Correspondent
