JI chief accuses PM of presenting wrong facts about out-of-school children

MARDAN: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Sunday claimed that a worst capitalist system had been impose d on Pakist an, which had increased poverty manifold.

He expressed these views while addressing the participants of a Khatmul Bukhari Sharif ceremony at Darul Uloom Jamia Tafheemul Quran here.

He alleged that 100 million people had been living below the poverty line `owing to anti-poor policies` of those at the helm. He also claimed that a coalition of `international and national establishment` was imposed in the country, `which had been sucl(ing blood of Pakistani people` Mr Rehman alleged that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had presented wrong facts and figures related to the out-of-school children at the International Conference on Girls` Education 2025 held in Islamabad on Saturday. He claimed that over 27.5 million children were out of schools in the country.

`People have also been deprived of basic facilities, including health, education and sports,` he said, adding that the ruling class was enjoying all luxuries of life.

He deplored that the authorities had failed to bring industrialists,capitalists,landlords and otherrich people into the tax net, and squeezed the poor and lowincome groups by heavy taxation.

He claimed that Jamaat was struggling to bring Islamic system in the country, where every citizen would be treated equally.

`There will be no discrimination against anyone whether they are rich or poor. Women will not only be provided their due share in inheritance but they will also be provided protection within and outside their family,` he claimed.

Mr Rehman asked the countrymen to support Jamaat in its struggle to make Pakistan a `true Islamic state`.

He said the US and its allies were supporting Israel in its massacre of innocent Palestinians. He said the US had adopted cruel and unjust policies against the Muslim countries. `The US is attacking the Muslim countries one after another to bring into power its agents,` he said.

The Jamaat chief urged the Muslims all over the world to forge unity in their ranks to stop the `cruelties of the US and its allied countries against them`.

The JI emir along with other party leaders distributed certificates among those students, who completed their Islamic education at Darul Uloom Jamia Tafheemul Quran. Correspondent
