Anti-polio drive to begin from 26th

RAWALPINDI: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheema said that the second polio campaign of 2024 will start from February 26, and the campaign will continue for seven days without interruption.
Mr Cheema stated this while presiding over the anti-polio campaign review meeting in his office.
He added that the anti-polio campaign is being started again in the case of a positive polio sample.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of the concerned departments to prepare a comprehensive plan keeping in mind all the aspects regarding the arrangements of the polio campaign so that no problem is faced during the campaign.
Mr Cheema noted that in order to make the polio campaign successful, all the officers and officials should perform their duties in an efficient manner.

Shumaila, Deputy District Health Officer (DDHO), along with officers from the Department of Health, Agriculture, Education, Civil Defence, and related departments, participated in the meeting.
