R A W A L P I N D I : Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatha said on Monday that the Pirwadhai General Bus Stand would be refurbished to the tune of Rs 110 million. Mr Chatha stated this during his visit to the Pirwadhai General Bus Stand.
He reviewed the ongoing worl( regarding the upgradation of the bus stand and the opening of the entrances and exits of the base.
C o m m i s s i o n e r Rawalpindi made a detailed review of the men and women waiting rooms, washrooms, and other administrative matters, including sanitation.
Speal(ing on the occasion, Mr Chatha stated that the open area of the general bus stand had become a ruin and had not been constructed for 20 years.
Therefore, more than Rs 11 crore was being spent on the construction and repair of the entrance, exit routes, and open area of thegeneralbusstand.
He added that one-sizefits-all signboards will be displayed at the vehicle workshop in the bus stand areas. Besides, any kind of encroachment will not be tolerated at the bus stand.
Mr Chatha said that providing relief to the public is our top priority, adding that the Punjab government was spending millions of rupees on the bus stand and that special care should be taken for its maintenance.
