KARACHI, March 12: A mysterious blast on Tuesday night damaged a van parked outside a filling station at the main University Road.

Some residents living near Mashriq Centre reported to have heard a loud bang.

However, fortunately no casualties were reported after the blast occurred.

Till late Tuesday night, the police were inconclusive about the cause of the blast. They said that the Hiace van did not have a CNG cylinder fitted into it. `There are neither splinters of a hand grenade nor remains of any explosive on the scene of the blast,` said SSP East Imran Shaukat.-Staff Reporter
