Women trade fair in Peshawar from tomorrow

PESHAWAR: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) and Women Chamber of Commerce would jointly organise a two-day women trade fair from Tuesday at Sheraz Arena here.

The event is aimed at encouraging business and skilled women to market their products. Chief Minister Pervez Khattak would inaugurate the fair, which would be open to families only.

The organisers have established various stalls to showcase cultural and traditional dresses, local and traditional foods, besides making arrangements for holding music, fashion shows and children zones.

The stalls would also display handicraft, gemstones, handmade jewellery, leather products, mosaic work, jute wok, beauty products, bed sheets, baby clothing, toys and kitchen utensils.

Famous folk singers and artistes would also entertain the visitors. Women entrepreneurs from Peshawar, Swat, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Mardan, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan, besides businesswomen from other major cities of Pakistan would put their products on display in the fair.— APP
