ABBOTTABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf information secretary Naeemul Haq has said that the nation is eagerly waiting for the Supreme Court verdict in the Panama Leaks case, which will be a turning point in the history of Pakistan and will block the way of corruption forever.
Speaking at `Meet the Press` programme of Abbottabad Press Club on Sunday, he said that the country was now passing through a critical phase where its economy was standing on weak footings.
He added that the rulers had been taking billions of rupees loan on daily basis and corruption was touching new heights.
He alleged that Sharif brothers were doing their self-projection at the cost of national exchequer.
He said that PTI would file a petition in the Election Commission of Pakistan to ban publication of pictures of the rulers in government advertisements.
Mr Haq said that the country`s apex court had now all proof s and suf ficient record to decide the fate of one of the important cases in the country`s history. He said that PTI believed that the case would be decided on merit.
The PTI secretary information said that their government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took a little time to remove the system flaws and now they would be able to deliver in a betterway while ensuring good governance.
He said that if elected in the next election they would go one step ahead of Punjab in development projects.
He claimed that the federal government had not released over Rs40 billion of KP, which was also one of the reasons for the slowpace of development work in the province.
Answering a question about groupings in lower ranks of the party in KP districts, he said that the party leadership was taking it seriously.
He said that after new partyelectionsthingswould improve. He also announced candidates for the provincial and National Assembly seats.
Mr Haq said that the party manifesto had set five target areas and for that purpose PTI chairman Imran Khan would start a nationwide campaign.
He said that the party would show its strength as the nation was fed up with the corrupt rulers and wanted to see a real change.
He admitted that in some of areas in KP they were still unable to achieve the desired results.
