Cash, valuables worth over Rs10m looted in separate robberies

ISLAMABAD: Two persons were injured during separate robberies, while in another incident cash and ornaments worth over Rs10 million during a robbery and house theft, police said.
In the first incident, robbers shot and injured a man during a robbery in G-7/2.
The injured was identified as Jawad Ahmed.
The police said that two persons came on a motorcycle and intercepted Ahmed and held him at gunpoint. They snatched Rs20,000 and a mobile phone worth Rs350,000 from him.
However, when Ahmed put up resistance the robbers opened fire on him. As a result he sustained injury in his leg and the robbers fled along with the looted items.
A man was injured from the firing of robbers in a separate robbery in the area of Tarlai Kalan. Two armed per-sons intercepted a man and looted cash and valuables worth Rs127,000 from him. When he put up resistance the robbers opened fire on him.
As a result he sustained bullet injuries, while the robbers escaped with the looted items.
Furthermore, a gang of robbers looted Rs5 million from a man in I-10/4, about two kilometer away from Sabzi Mandi police station.
The incident took place when Mohammad Adnan was returning home in a car from a bank in I-10 Markaz. His home was located at a distance of four minutes drive, and on his way to home two motorcyclists intercepted him.
The riders looted Rs5 millon from him and escaped.
Moreover, thieves stole cash and ornaments worth over Rs5.7million from a house in Banigala.
In their absence the thieves broke into the house and stole cash, and gold ornaments worth Rs5.72million.
