HYDERABAD: Scores of street children and representatives of non-governmental organisations took out a rally here on Wednesday to mark the International Day for Street Children.

They marched to the press club carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans `let`s stop child labour, protect our children` and appealed to the government to ensure health and education facilities for children.

The rally was organised by Zahid Thebo, secretary of Child Rights Movement (CRM) and Kashif Bajeer, Sindh regional manager of the Society for Protection of Rights of the Child (SPARC).

Mr Thebo demanded the government form a mechanism to enrol street children in schools as they were the most vulnerable and neglected section of society.
