LAHORE: The Pakistan People`s Party (PPP) has said the PML-N government is giving false hope to the people regarding elimination of loadshedding by 2018.
`The government is misleading the people by claiming that it would control loadshedding of electricity by 2018. It is doing nothing to save people from loadshedding,` PPP central Punjab president Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo said here on Tuesday.
He said the government`sseriousness towards controlling the loadshedding could be gauged by the fact that it had only added 100MW electricity to the national grid after two years in power. `If the PML-N government could add only 100MW in two years, what magic wand it is going to use to meet the shortfall of more than 6,000MW in the remaining two and-a-half years in power,` he wondered.
Mr Wattoo said the completion of the Nandipur power project by the Punjab government had brought more criticism and it was hard to find competitiveness.
