DADU: Police on Thursday registered an FIR against truck driver over the death of 17 passengers and injuries to four others in a terrible accident in which the truck ramme d into a van on Indus Highway near Manjhand town.

Manjhand police lodged the FIR against the truck driver Waheed Ahmed on a complaint lodged by ASI Ali Bux Chandio.

Police said in the FIR the truck driver was responsible for the accident as he was driving his vehicle at a high speed, which led to the tragedy.-Correspondent
