Delegation visits Indian shelling victims` family

GUJRAT/NAROWAL: On the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a high ranking delegation visited Jalalpur Sobtian village of Gujrat to offer condolences to the heirs of the victims of Indian shelling that martyred at least three members of a family, namely a father and his two sons.

The delegation include Maj Gen Imran Khan Babar, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Punjab Minister forTransport Bilal Akbar and PML MPA Khalid Asghar Ghural, Gujrat Deputy Commissioner Safdar Virk and District Police Officer Dr Mustanser Atta Bajwa.

The delegation offered prayers for the martyred family members, Mian Nisar and his two sons, and assured their heirs of providing them with job opportunities in the armed forces. Some compensation amount in cash was also handed over to the family.

Earlier, the delegation visited Rasheeda Shafi Trauma Centre at Aziz Bhatti Shaheed TeachingHospital (ABSTH) to inquire after the health of around a dozen citizens who were injured in the Indian shelling at the border areas along the line of control (LoC). They presented bouquets to the injured and assured them of a free and better treatment in the government health facilities.

Earlier, another delegation, led by Maj Gen Imran Khan Babar and Punjab Minister for Local Bodies Mian Zeeshan Rafique, visited the Sialkot CMH to inquire after the health of patients who were injured by the Indianshelling along the working boundary.

Gujr an w ala Commissioner Naveed Haider Sheerazi, Regional Police Officer Tayyab Cheema and Sialkot deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali and others were also present.

Corps Commander Gujranwala Lt Gen Imdad Hussain Shah also visited CMH Sialkot and talked to the injured. He appreciated the injured army employees and citizens and instructed the administration of CMH Sialkot to provide them with the best health facilities.
