DERA GHAZI KHAN: Once a symbol of proud Baloch tribes of the Sulaiman Range, the statue of a Baloch warrior at a major roundabout is in a state of disrepair.
Originally showing the warrior riding a horse and holding a sword, the warrior`s statue has lost its sword.
Despite its central location in the city, the deteriorating condition ofthe statue continuestogounnoticedby the authorities concerned, sparking concerns among the citizens and cultural activists. The residents urge the authorities to restore the statue to its original form and preserve this cultural landmark.
On the other hand, another statue of a wild goat was erected on the western side of the roundabout but it was often seen encroached upon by the vendors.
Social circles demand the authorities to take action against the encroachers to get the space around the statue cleared.
