NEW DELHI: Qaed-e-Azam M.A. Jinnah had an interview with His Excellency the Viceroy on Thursday evening [June 12] at 6 p.m. He was with the Viceroy for an hour. The Leaders` Conference with Lord Mountbatten will be resumed tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Viceroy`s House. Informed circles believe that the Viceroy discussed with Mr. Jinnah the terms of reference of the Boundary Commissions that will be appointed immediately after the Provincial Legislative Assemblies of Bengal and the Punjab give their verdict on the issues contained in Para four of HMG`s plan.
Speculation is rife in political circles regarding the composition of the Boundary Commissioner. Some circles are of the opinion that the Viceroy may request the UNO to appoint an International Boundary Commission. There may be appointed local Committees or SubCommittees to help this Commission in demarcating the boundariesof Hindustanand Pakistan.
