TAXILA: One person died while another was injured after two rival groups attacked each other in a remote area of Pindigheb town of Attock on Sunday.

Police said the deceased was identified as Sharaf Noor whereas the injured was named Shahsawar.

Both the injured and deceased were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital in Pindigheb.

Police have registered a case and started investigation.

Meanwhile, a car was destroyed after it caught fire on Hakla-D.I. Khan Motorway near Kharappa interchange in the jurisdiction of Pindigheb police station. The vehicle was coming from Mianwali and heading towards Rawalpindi.

According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, hre was extinguished due to timely action by relevant officials.

On the other hand, around 14 animals died after being struck by lightning in Dhoke Chagi on Sunday.

A villager gathered his herd of cattle underneath a tree when lightning struck killing 13 goats and one cow.
