KARACHI: Lawyers on Thursday boycotted legal proceedings in the subordinate courts in the city to condemn the bomb blast targeting an election campaign in Peshawar in which over 20 people, including Awami National Party leader Haroon Bilour, were killed.
On the call of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) the legal fraternity in the city stayed away f rom legal proceedings, which came to a grinding halt at dozens of courts in the City Courts, Malir District Courts and special tribunals.
Hundreds of cases fixed for the day could not be taken up that caused inconvenience to a large number of litigants and undertrial prisoners.
