Information officers complete training

I S L A M A B A D : Information group officers completed their 4-week specialised training at the Information Service Academy (ISA).

This training is part of the Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC), which civil servants undergo at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) for promotion to Grade 19 under the Civil Services of Pakistan. A passing-out ceremony was held here on Saturday at the academy.

Executive Director General of the ISA, Ms Imrana Wazir, was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, she emphasised the critical role of the Information Group in bridging the gap between government and public through effective communication and responsible media engagement. She appreciated the officers` dedication during the training and encouraged them to continue striving for professional excellence in public service.

The executive director general commended all participants and expresse d confidence that they would serve the country with renewed commitment,enhanced skills, and integrity, strengthening the state`s communication narrative both domestically and internationally.

Senior academy officials, including Director General Ms Ambreen Gul Shahid, Director Mehreen Liaquat, and Director Mr Adnan Akram Bajwa, also attended the event.

The 43rd MCMC included four weeks of specialised training at the ISA, with a focus on digital transformation, public communication, media strategy, and governance in the information age, after 10 weeks of foundational training at the NIPA.

During the ceremony, certificates and shields were distributed among the participating officers in recognition of their successful completion of the course. The officers who participated included Muhammad Afzal Kolachi, Imdad Ali, Shazim Akhtar, Ms. Saba Yasir, AttequrRehman, Hussain Ahmed Wasir and Hammad ur Rehman Qaisar ISA continues to play a pivotal role in training and developing officers of the Information Group, equipping them to navigate the evolving challenges in media, governance, and public communication.
