SHEIKHUPURA: The district coordination officer has constituted a three-member committee to probe into the matter pertaining to surfacing of a polio case in his jurisdiction.
N i n e m o n t h o1d Husnain, son of a farmer, Mehboob Ali, a resident of Botter village near Faroogabad, was found positive for polio virus, allegedly despite receiving regular doses of polio vaccine.
The investigation team comprising assistant commissioner, and district officers for coordination and health is tasked with submitting a report on how the toddler got exposed to the virusdespite being administered polio vaccine doses.
The team will also examine whether the vaccine administered to the minor was genuine or fake and if any negligence was involved on part of health officials concerned.
SECURITY PLAN: The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) chairman Siddig-ul-Farooq, visited Nankana Sahib on Sunday to review the security plan for Sikh celebrations with regard to 544th birth anniversary ofBabaGuruNanak.
The chairman said on the occasion that all possible facilities, beside security, would be provided to the pilgrims (Yatrees) expected to attend the celebrations from Nov 5 to Nov 7.
