KARACHI: City School PAF Chapter (Blue) proved their superiority by outplaying rivals in both junior (schools) and senior (colleges) categories to win the Karachi Girls Netball Cup here at the PSB CoachingCentre on Thursday.

In the junior (schools) category, the thrilling final was played between City School PAF Chapter (Blue) and Habib Girls School teams which was won by City School 7-6 to become thechampions of Karachi Girls Netball Cup.

Meanwhile, the third position match turned out to be the most exciting contest between City School Gulshan and City School PAF (White).The match ended at 3-3 in regular time and was extended twice for extra time but was finally won by City School PAF (White) in third extra time session 8-7.

The final of the senior (colleges) category was playedbetween City School PAF Chapter (Blue) and Habib Girls School teams.

City School PAF Chapter won the match 4-3 and were declared the champions of Karachi Girls Netball Cup in the seniors competition also.

The third position match was played between IBA University and Trinity Girls College teams.

IBA University won the match 8-3.

Raeesuddin Paracha, president of the Sindh Netball Association and Federal Ombudsman Insurance, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed the trophies, medals, certificates and prizes among the players and officials.

PNF president Mudassar Arain, secretary Mohammad Riaz, SNA secretary Aijza-ul-Haque and regional sports coordinator Intesar Haider were also present on the occasion.-Agencies
