Two die in motorcycle accident

TOBA TEK SINGH: Two young persons died in a motorcycle accident on the Tarigabad flyover on Chak Jhumra Road in Faisalabad on Saturday.

Rescue 1122 said Nawaz, 23, and Shahbaz, 22, died when their motorcycle collided with the shoulder wall of the flyover while navigating a sharp turn.

They fell several feet to the ground and were rushed to the DHQ hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

In another incident on Jaranwala Road near the Government Commerce College, a car collided with a passerby, a rickshaw, a road divider, and ultimately struck an electric pole.

The driver of the vehi-cle, identified as Irfan Butt, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene, while two passengers and a passerby sustained critical injuries.

The injured people Ghulam Abbas, 30, Shafgat Ali, 50, and Waseem Javed, 33 -were also taken to the DHQ Hospital.

BODY: Rescue 1122 divers recovered the body of Waqas Ramzan, 22, from the Gogera branch canal near Moongi Bangla.

Waqas had jumped into the canal on Oct 10 after a disagreement with his parents over financial matters.

His body was located 85km from where he entered the water.

Also, in Chak 649-GB, 15-year-old Muhammad Anees was found dead at home. The circumstancessurrounding his passing are currently under investigation.

INTERCHANGE: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has approved the construction of a new interchange on Motorway M-3 in the Toba Tek Singh district.

PML-N leader and former MNA Junaid AnwarChaudhry told a press conference that the interchange will be located near Chak 250-GB on the Rajana-Samudri Road.

This new infrastructure is expected to facilitate travel for motorists from Samundri, Gojra, and surrounding villages linking them with Lahore and Multan.
