PESHAWAR: Three people were killed over an old enmity in the Mathra locality on the outskirts of the provincial capital here on Saturday.
An official at Mathra police station told Dawn that the incident took place at around 9am in Aslam Dheri village. He said two motorcyclists opened fire on a rickshaw, killing three people identified as Syed Adil Shah, Syed Arif Shah and driver Saeed Khan.
He said both the parties had been running a feud for some years, wherein a member of the slain family was killed two years back. He said the attackers were identified as Shamsul Haq, Shamsul Arifeen, Mohabaat Khan, Fazal Shah and Ayub.
The official said police registered FIR and started investigations.
In another incident, unidentified persons shot dead 10-year-old Madeeha when was returning her home along with her mother in the limits of the same police station.
Police said on the complaint Madeeha`s father they lodged a report. They quoted the complainant as saying that his wife too had sustained injuries in the attack.
