PESHAWAR: The provincial Performance Management and Reforms Unit (PMRU) has asked the management of hotels, travel agents and restaurants to register their outlets with the Directorate of Tourists` Services within two weeks to avoid legal action.

According to a statement issued here by the Directorate of Tourists Services on Sunday, the hotels, restaurants and travel agents have also been directed to ensure provision of quality services and food to the customers and maintain hygienic conditions. It stated that the owners of different outlets not following the government instructions regarding registration would f ace legal action. It said that in the southern districts, including Bannu and Karak, the relevant deputy commissioners, district police officers and officials of the regional Directorate of Tourists Services would hold meetings of the advisory committees to ensure registration of the outlets in respective areas.

The hoteliers and vendors were also asked to display the price list at their workplaces to facilitate the customers.Bureau Report
