Compensation for accident victims soon`

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MNA Shehryar Afridi said on Sunday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would soon announce compensation package for families of those killed and the injured in the bus accident a few days ago in Talagang.

As many as 27 passengers were killed and over 50 critically injured when a bus carrying a group of people of Mandoori village, Kohat, to the annual Tableeghi congregation in Raiwind, fell into a ravine in Chakwal area of Punjab.

The MNA appreciated the people of Talagang, district administration and specially the district nazim for reach-ing the accident site and supervising the relief and rescue operation.

Mr Afridi said that he would soon hold a meeting with the provincial authorities to announce a special package for the victims` families. He said that he would also inquire after the injured admitted to various hospitals in Rawalpindi.

The Chakwal district administration had promptly shif ted the injured to the hospitals and provided all necessary support, including ambulances, to shift the bodies to the native Mandoori village. APP
