ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi on Sunday telephoned the families of the army soldiers and officers who were martyred in different incidents, and offered his condolences.

The president phoned the families of Major Raja Zeeshan Jahanzeb and Major Mohammad Irfan Barcha, who embraced martyrdom in a helicopter crash on Dec 6.

He also interacted with the bereaved families of the soldiers who were martyred in North Waziristan on Nov 27. President Alvi telephoned the family members of martyred Lance Naik Arif, Naik Rehman, and Sepoy Ghafoor Jan.—APP
