RAWALPINDI: At the end of the four-day special evaluation meeting on the present Government`s achievements and shortcomings during the past one year, President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto today [Dec 14] issued directives for a large number of measures in economic and social fields. An of ficial spokesman ... told newsmen that these measures will be incorporated in proper schemes to be worked out by the Ministries concerned and announced after approvalby the Cabinet.

The spokesman said ... the President laid down seven main principles for Government action in the coming months which include avoidance of parochial approach towards national problems, harmonious development of the whole country at a rapid speed, identity of economic and political goals, inescapable necessity of a mixed economy, supremacy of the need to ensure provision of food, shelter, clothing and employment for the common man and urgency of bringing about a ... better relationship between the Government and the people.
