Fighting breast cancer

2023-12-13
WOMEN in rural areas struggle to get properhealthcare because oflack of hospitals and doctors.Besides, the lack of knowledge and understanding about diseases makes the problem worse.

Breast cancer, for instance, is a common disease that affects many women around the world, but women in rural areas ofPakistan sufferbecause of lack of awareness regarding the early signs and symptoms as well as selfexamination parameters. It is extremely important for all concerned to take action to address the issue.

We need to start a campaign in rural areas to make people aware about breast cancer. The campaign should use easy-to-understand and attractive materials, like posters, leaflets and videos, to share important facts about breast cancer, its causes, and the importance of regular self-examination.

Also, holding educational events, like workshops and seminars, in such areas can be helpful. These events will help women learn about breast cancer and how to prevent it. They will also talk about detecting breast cancer early, and the treatments that are available.

Working together with local doctors, non-profit organisations, and community leaders can arrange such workshops successfully by ensuring mass participation.

We also need to ensure people`s access to healthcare in rural areas. Mobile clinics with special machines for scanning can go to faraway places. When city hospitals and country clinics work together, they can help patients get recommended to see a doctor orget treated.

There are a million reasons for us to work together to ensure that no woman is left behind in the fight against breast cancer.
