RAWALPINDI: A man who was critically injured by an explosive lobbed onto Adiala Road on Saturday died at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) late Sunday night, police and the victim`s f amily said.
A close relative of the deceased told Dawn that Asif AliHaidri, 38, was associated with the metro bus service.
He was on his way to work when he was injured in the explosion on Saturday night.
Three other people were also injured in what the police had initially calling a shooting incident.
Haidri`srelative said he was on a motorcycle on his way to work when the explosion occurred.
`He sustained critical head injuries despite wearing a helmet,` he said, adding that doctors operated on him but he died at 11:30pm on Sunday.
The Counter Terrorism Department is investigating the incident after it was referred the case by the local police.
