SWAT: Provincial president of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Dr Mohammad Ali said here on Friday that some people who were expelled from the party must refrain from using the party flag and name.

He was addressing party worl(ers after receiving a notification issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

He warned that it was a clear violation of the country`s laws andPkMAP reserved the right to take legal action against the former members.

`A few months ago, chairman of the party Mahmood Khan Achakzai terminated the membership by taking disciplinary action against some people for violating the constitution of the party, but those people were still using party`s name and fiag in their activities,` he said, adding after that, the party held its seventh national congress from Dec 19 to 21, 2022, and conducted party elections.

`After the elections, the partysubmitted its results to the Election Commission of Pakistan as per the Election Act 2017, based on which the commission issued its notification on Jan 9, 2023,` he said.

He further said that those persons had nothing to do with PkMAP, so they should not mislead the public.

He added that PkMAP was united under the leadership of Mahmood Khan Achakzai and engaged in getting the rights of Pakhtuns and for democracy, constitution, and supremacy of parliament in the country.
