Man killed in road accident

ISLAMABAD: A man was killed in a road accident, while eight incidents of robbery have been reported in the capital.
The victim, identified as Mohammad Usman, was 1(illed after his motorcycle was hit by a car in G-8/2. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Separately, four armed individuals attacked the home of Khurram Ali Khan in Bahria Town Phase IV and held the residents at gunpoint.
Police said they stole Rs1 million in cash and three sets of gold ornaments worth Rs2.8m before escaping.
In another incident, four people in a car also intercepted Mohammad Habibi at Khurrianwala Chowk.
They held him at gunpoint, pulled him out of his car and stole Rs7,000 and the keys to thecar, a 2017 Toyota Altus, and fled.
Police said the home of Sarib Hayat in Shahpur was robbed of Rs800,000 worth of cash and valuables while the residents were away. When they returned they found that Rs500,000 in cash, gold ornaments, a laptop computer, watches and an LED television had been stolen.
Two people on a motorcycle stole cash and a mobile phone from a man, identified as Ali, while he was walking in I-9/4.
A 2007 Suzuki Mehran worth Rs350,000 belonging to Tanveer Iqbal was stolen from a Blue Area car park, police added, as was a Honda 125 worth Rs70,000 belonging to Asif Ali.
Two people on a motorcycle also stole a vehicle and a mobile from Zahid Ahmed at Khanna.
The victim was travelling on his own motorcycle when two people intercepted him, stole his mobile phone and 2014 Honda 125, and escaped.
