School peon arrested for allegedly molesting teenage boy

TAXILA: A man was arrested in Hasan Abdal for allegedly molesting a teenage boy on the school premises, police sources said on Thursday.
According to police sources, a complainant told the police that his 13-year-old brother worked at a furniture market adjacent to the school.
On Thursday, the suspect, who reportedly worked as a peon at a government girls` high school, took him to the school and molested him.
After a medical examination of the victim, the police registered a case against the suspect under sections 376-II and 377-B of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and arrested him.
On the other hand, the district education department suspended the official with immediate effect and launched a departmental inquiry under the Punjab Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act, 2006.
SeparatelyonThursday, 13 suspected gamblers were held for their alleged involvement in quail fighting in Attock.
According to a police spokesperson, the police raided a gambling den in the Lakarmar town within the limits of Injra police station and recovered as many as 11 quails, Rs23,000 stake money and other gambling tools.
Despite being declared illegal activity, dog-fighting, cock-fighting and quail fighting are famous traditional entertainment means in rural areas of district Attock.
Meanwhile, the Attock police arrested three proclaimed offenders (PO) who were allegedly wanted in three different cases registered with three different police stations.
