BAHAWALPUR: As many 1,394 students (2022 to 2025 batch) were awarded degrees and medals at the first-ever convocation of the Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CUVAS), Bahawalpur,onThursday.

The degrees and awards were distributed by Punjab Secretary for Livestock and Dairy Development Saqib Ali Ateel, Vice-Chancellorof Government Sadiq College for Women University Prof Dr Shazia Anjum, VC University of Engineering and Information Technology, Rahim Yar Khan, Prof Dr Aamir Azam Khan, and Special Secretary Livestock, South Punjab, Azfar Zia.

Host Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Mazhar Ayyaz in his welcome address shed light on Cholistan university`s establishment, construction and functioning.
