TOBA TEK SINGH: A property dealer was murdered by two persons in Faisalabad on Monday over a monetary dispute.

According to the D Type Colony police, complainant Tahir Mahmood said that he and his deceased brother Qamar Javed were riding a motorcycle in Millat Colony when two gunmen, also riding a motorcycle, shot at and injured Qamar. He was rushed to the Samanabad hospitalwhere he succumbed to his injuries.

The complainant claimed that Qamar had brokered the sale of a property of Shabbar Shah and the buyer had given Rs5 million as an advance to Shahthrough his brother.

He said a few days ago, harsh words were exchanged between Qamar and Shah when the deceased asked him to return the advance money, to which Shah arranged shooters who killed his brother. Police were conducting raids toarrestthe accused.

WARRAICH: PML-N MNA Chaudhry Khalid Javed waraich has announced fielding his son Uqba Ali Warraich and wife Fauzia Khalid Waraich as PML-N candidates for PP-118 and PP-119 under his MNA seat (NA-111).

At a gathering of his party workers at his residence, he criticised former PML-N MPA for PP-119, Abdul Qadeer Awan, for, what he alleged, keeping relations with anti-PML-N politicians and ignoring party workers.He said his wife, Ms Fauzia, former district council chairperson, will contest the election on the party ticket.

He claimed that he has informed the party leadership of all the circumstances and Awan will not contest as a party ticket holder.

His son Uqba will contest against PTI`s Bilal Asghar Warraich who is Mr Warraich`s younger brother.

Mr Awan told reporters that he would explain his views at a press conference in a couple of days.
