LARKANA: A secondary school teacher died under debris when his old two-storey house caved in on him in Shaikh locality within the jurisdiction of Market police station.

A team of Rescue 1122 pulled out the victim, identified as Naeem Ahmed Shahwani, 45, from under the debris and shifted him in critical condition to Trauma Centre in Chandka Medical College Hospital, but he died soon afterwards.

The deceased was residing in the building alone.

Khair Muhammed Shaikh, special assistant to chief minister, officers of the district administration, chairman of Dari Town and others supervised rescue efforts. After completing medico-legal formalities the dead body was handed over to relatives.
