LAHORE: Greater Iqbal Park project director was shot at and injured by two unidentified attackers near Sheeranwala Gate on Thursday.
Police said Project Director Javaid Hamid was going to his office in the morning when two unidentified motorcyclists stopped him near Sheeranwala Gate and opened fire at him.
The officer suffered two bullet wounds in his legs and was taken to the Services Hospital where he was said to be stable.
Later, Yaki Gate police registered a case against the unidentified attackers and started investigation.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also took notice of the firing incident and sought its report from Capital City Police Officer Amin Wains.
City Division SP Adil Memon told Dawn the initial investigation showed that the director was shot at and injured over enmity.
