LAHORE: The PPP has expressedits doubts about the statistics of distribution of coronavirus testing kits and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Dr Khyam Hafeez, president of the party`s medical wing -Pe ople`s Doctors Forum -said here on Monday that the testing kits and PPE imported from China had not yet reached the state-run hospitals, resulting in spread of the disease among thehealth staff attending the Covid-19 patients.

He said doctors were just being given surgical masks after their protests, while nobody knew among whom the federal government was distributing the PPE. Expressing his concern at cases among the doctors, he said it seemed the government was giving the kits only to private hospitals owned by influential people in the ruling PTI. Staff Reporter
