TAXILA: The distribution of `Sehat Insaf Cards` at the union council level started in Attock on Thursday.

Adviser to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malil( Amin Aslam inaugurated the distribution of the cards in the UCs of Ghourghushti, Malik Mala, Hazro and Bahadur Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Aslam said Attock was the first district of Punjab where the Sehat cards were being distributed at the union council level.

He said at the provincial level the health insurance facility would be available to 7.2 million people till the end of 2019 and in Attock around 111,000 health cards would be distributed.

He said a fresh survey would be carried out in the district and the number of cards would be increased as per the result of the survey.

`Sehat Insaf Card is not a charity or any sort of benevolence from the government rather it is taxpayers` money being spent on the welfare of the people.

Mr Aslam said the PTI government was working on different programmes to turn the country into a welfare state.

He said conservation of environment was also the government`s priority as Pakistan was ranked seventh most vulnerable country to climate change and global warming.

He said the government was committed to achieving the target of planting 10 billion trees all over Pakistan as there was an urgent need to connect people to nature as a part of our shared responsibility and sustainablefuture.

He said the Ministry of Climate Change was working to achieve the objectives under Prime Minister Imran Khan`s Clean and Green Pakistan initiative. Correspondent
