ISLAMABAD: Pakistan`s ace snooker player, the 42-year-old Mohammad Asif, has qualified for the Commonwealth Snooker and Billiards Championships in Mauritius, which will run from July 2-6.
Asif, Pakistan`s most successful cueist and a three-time world champion, secured his spot by winning the IBSF World Men Snooker Championship in Doha last year.
The Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) confirmed it has submitted Asif`s visa documents to the Mauritius Embassy in Islamabad and is awaiting approval.
Expressing strong confidence, the PBSA stated they believe Asif can achieve greatness and bring homeamedalforPakistan.
