LAHORE: The FIA on Thursday arrested six human smugglers, including the two who were involved in Greece boat tragedy.

According to the FIA, Kashif Butt and Imran Aziz who were involved in arranging illegal travel of some victims of Greece boat incident were arrested in Mandi Bahauddin.

They had sent a number of Pakistanis to Europe throughland routes.

Separately, the FIA arrested four human traffickers Imran Aslam, Abdur Rehman, Rashid and Rizwan Ali for receiving a handsome money from a number of people on a promise of arranging their jobs in Italy, Canada and the UAE. They were arrested in Lahore and Kasur.

Meanwhile, FIA National Central Bureau Interpol arrested suspect Asif in Oman and brought him back to Pakistan. He was wanted in an attempted murder case in Sialkot and by the Punjab police.
