AN online survey was conducted with respondents from India and Pakistan, aged mostly 18-35, to assess what factors influence public perception of the `other` across generations.
Of the 1,340 responses generated, 45 per cent of the participants were Indian while 55pc were from Pakistan.
60.6pc people believe they are more involved with current affairs than their parents were at their age.
57.1pc people contest that faith-based conflicts drive individuals into violence but at the same time 76.5pc respondents maintain that inter-faith harmony is achievable.
47.8pc of Indians relate terrorism with Pakistan, while only 13pc Pakistanis relate India with terrorism.
58pc of respondents think the present generation is more intolerant than their forefathers were.
