KARACHI: Teams of the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) raided six alleged illegal water processing companies (RO plants) in different parts of Sindh and seized their bottled drinking water.

A PSQCA statement issued on Monday says that the authority’s teams raided the illegal factories (RO plants) in Hyderabad and Tando Mohammad Khan.

The companies raided and bottled water brands seized included Slake Brand water (Slake Enterprises, Latifabad, Hyderabad); Fresco Brand Water (Fresco Water, Latifabad, Hyderabad); Blue Heaven Pure Drinking Water (Blue Heaven Pure Drinking Water Latifabad, Hyderabad); Abiha Pure Drinking Water Latifabad, Hyderabad); Z.H. Water (Qasimabad, Hyderabad); Boss.com Pure Water (Sujawal Chowk, Tando Mohammad Khan).

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the illegal factories/plants, said a PSQCA statement.
