BAHAWALPUR: The Bahawalpur Arts Council (BAC) today organised Jashn-i-Azadi Show, which had jhoomar, mushaira, concert, a sketch contest and national songs.

It attracted a large number of people. The artistes were given awards by BAS Director Sajjad Hussain.

Meanwhile, the Bahawalpur Waste Management Company (BWMC) held a cake-cutting ceremony at its office to celebrate Independence Day.

The district administration has chalked out a colourful and comprehensive programme to celebrate the Independence Day on Monday (today). It includes a flag-hoisting ceremony to be performed by Deputy CommissionerZaheerAnwarJappa.-Correspondent
