KARACHI: D.G. Khan Cement Company Ltd posted net earnings of Rs2.97 billion for 2021-22, down 20 per cent yearon-year, a regulatory filing showed on Tuesday.
In the last quarter alone, the company recorded a loss of Rs647 million against a net profit of Rs873m a year ago primarily due to super tax and the impact of deferred tax liability, said Arif Habib Ltd.
Alongside the result, the company also announced a dividend of Re1 per share.
The company`s top line in the last financial year clocked in at Rs58bn, up 29pc from the preceding year. The rise is reflective of an over 40pc surge in retention prices, which offset the impact of a 10pc dip in the factory`s offtake.
