KARACHI: Hamdard Foundation president Sadia Rashid has said that patriotism is identified with valour, sacrifice and indomitable love for the country.

Speaking at a function of Hamdard Naunehal Assembly here, she said that as the world has globalised, countries developed strategies to compete for the markets, technologies and skills that would raise their standards of living.

The event, `We children are the defenders of Pakistan, either in peace or war`, was held at Madinat al-Hikmah Karachi. Retired Brig Dr Riaz-ul-Haq, the CEO of H amdard University Hospital, and Ms Rashid distributed prizes among participating students.
