TAXILA: A man died after the rickshaw he was travelling in was hit by an NHMP fine collection van on G.T. Road on Tuesday.

A man identified as Ijaz told police officials that his cousin Nisar was travelling in a rickshaw when a speeding van hit him.

He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police registered a case against the van driver and have begun investigation.

Burglaries in the area have also continued, as a house within the limits of the Taxila police station was robbed.

Fahad Rafeeg told police officials that two burglars broke into his home and escaped with a motorcycle, gold ornaments, cash and other valuables.
