CCPO`s help sought in filing case against blackmailers

By A Reporter 2015-10-14
LAHORE: A man complained to the capital city police officer (CCPO) on Tuesday against Nawab Town police for not registering a case against the people blackmailing his son with his objectionable photographs that they forcibly took.

Javed Iqbal, a resident of Johar Town, said his 18-yearold son had been kidnapped by his four class fellows who took him to an under-construction house in Rasoolpura. He further claimed the suspectsstripped his son, took photographs in objectionable postures and snatched his mobile phone and Rs850.

He said he lodged a complaint at Nawab Town police station but no action was taken.

Iqbal pleaded before the CCPO to take notice of the incident and direct the police to take action against the people involved in taking photographs of his son.

Nawab Town police claimed the suspects had been arrested but both families reached a compromise and the complaint to lodge a case was withdrawn.
