Six injured in clash between two PML-N groups

FAISALABAD: Six people suffered bullet injuries on Tuesday after two rival groups attached withPML-N had a clash in Punj Pir locality on Jhang Road.

Reports said Naseer group backed by supporters of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had clashed with rival group of Mian Kashif being backed by Abid Sher Ali for city council 121.

The Mian Kashif group opened fire, leaving Tariq, Yaseen, Majid, Naveed, Junaid and Ashiq of Naseergroup injured.

The wounded have been shifted to Allied hospital where they are said to be stable.

Following the incident, people staged a protest demonstration outside the Jhang Bazaar police station and demanded registration of a case against the suspects who resorted to firing.

Police officials managed dispersal of the crowd by assuring the protesters of action against the suspects.

Till filing of the report at 9pm, the victim party had not submitted application for registration of the case.
